Conor Davis is a quarterback from Blessed Trinity High School whose stock is starting to rise on the football-recruiting scene. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 210 pounds, he shows good mobility, an accurate arm and possesses above-average pocket presence. However, tools cannot translate the impact that Davis has on the Titans squad. Titans head coach Tim McFarlin described his junior quarterback as a competitive football player that carries a big presence as a team leader. Since becoming the starting quarterback during his sophomore season, he has been an integral part in Blessed Trinity’s success despite the program featuring a run-heavy offense. In 2013, Davis helped to lead the Titans to a 9-4 record with an appearance in the Class AAA quarterfinals as he completed 51.6 percent of his passes for 1,129 yards and nine touchdowns. His junior campaign proved to even better as Blessed Trinity made it to the semifinals for the first time in school history. The standout quarterback did his part, passing for 1,705 yards and 19 touchdowns compared to just three interceptions. He showcased his mobility as well rushing for four scores as the strong effort resulted in the junior gaining First-Team All-Region honors. Schools are beginning to take notice of the Titans signal-caller, but he has also made noise as a baseball prospect. Davis has been recruited by an assortment of SEC schools for his potential on the diamond. Similar to his prowess on the gridiron, the first baseman/pitcher established himself as a top prospect last spring when the Titans went 29-8 on their way to winning the AAA state championship. The two-sport star did his part, batting .374 with a team-leading six home runs, and 29 runs batted in, while compiling a 1.56 earned-run average. Despite the projection of his talents looking geared more towards a future in baseball, Davis hopes to play both sports at the next level. Aside from sports, he carries a 3.2 grade-point average and regularly spends time with his family, attends church and is also involved in his school’s Interact Club which has members take part in various service projects for the community throughout the year. While being a top prospect in multiple sports proves quite a decision-making quandary for the young athlete, it is likely that Davis’ talent and athleticism will allow him to find success in whichever sport he chooses.
