Player Bio

Sandy Creek’s safety Javon Jackson lead his team in interceptions and was a huge part of the Patriots’ success this season. Sandy Creek finished the regular 9-1 and was primed for deep run into the playoffs. Javon has helped guide the Patriot defense to being one of the sturdiest in Class AAAA, allowing just 12 points per contest. Jackson has totaled 44 tackles caught five interceptions and also has returned a fumble for a touchdown this season. Last season as a sophomore, Jackson contributed with 16 tackles on the season.

Javon prides himself in being able to tackle well and close in on offensive players in the open field. He uses a 4.58 forty-time to track down offensive players and bring them down with his 5-foot-10, 171 pound frame. Kentucky has offered him while Ole Miss, Tennessee, Duke, and Ohio State have all shown interest. He attended a camp over the summer which helped him gain exposure to big schools. He maintains a strong GPA and is continuing to do well in school. He has not racked up any accolades since this is his first season playing such a big role in the Patriot defense, but they are soon to come after this season’s strong play.

He grew up a fan of the local colleges and likes Georgia and Georgia Tech. If football does not propel him to the pros, he said he would like to study sport management and stay connected in the field, which he loves. Javon also is the starting shooting guard for the Sandy Creek basketball team and has been a big contributor. His favorite memory on the gridiron came last season in the state playoffs when he had a long 83-yard kickoff return against Cedartown. Javon said he would like to thank his family and his coaches for allowing him to be in this position.
