Do you remember your first varsity start and how was it?
“Yes, I was a sophomore in high school. I thought I would be nervous but once I got on the field it felt like any other regular game.”

Have you played DL your entire life and what made you want to play DL?
“I’ve played DL for the majority of my life. I’ve been assigned to other positions like TE and RB but DL seemed to be a better fit for me.”

What is your best asset as a DL?
“My best asset is my aggressiveness on the field. I would say I am a run stuffer and I put my all into it on the field; strength, speed, aggression, teamwork, everything. My favorite DL is JJ Watt with Texas.”

Who is the most influential person in your life?
“ Myself, my coaches and my parents. They all want the best for me!”

How many brothers and sisters, what ages and do they play sports?
“One sister, she played volleyball and ran track in high school. She is currently a junior in college. Three brothers over the age of 21.”

Parents name and did they play sports in college?
“Rodney Dawson – no; Karla Dawson – no”

Do you do any work in the community?
“Not at the current time because I’m trying to focus more on my grades and becoming a
better student athlete.”

What colleges have shown interest in you/offered you?
“Offered – Charlotte. Interest – Kentucky, Perdue, Navy, Michigan, Duke, NC State, Mississippi State”

What do you want to study in school?
“Sports Management”

What has been your best football memory?
“Playing varsity every Friday night, the intensity on the field and sacking the quarterback”

“Attended – The Opening Atlanta”

Play any sports besides football?
“Basketball and track.”

Outside of playing sports, what would you want to do for a living?
“Own my own business….entrepreneur.”

What is a fact about you many people that don’t know you, wouldn’t be able to guess?
“I’m humble.”
