Player Bio

Not many high school football players have the size and IQ of Veterans center Nate Lee. The 6-foot-5 315 pound junior has started for all three years and has been named Honorable Mention All-Region in his playing career. He holds a 5.19 in the 40 yard dash, 4.47 in the shuttle drill and 28″ vertical. Head coach David Bruce has praised the big man’s understanding of team concepts and schemes which have has helped him blossom into one of the best offensive linemen in the state. Nate holds a 3.7 GPA in the classroom and is a Duke Tip participant.

Last season Nate helped Veterans earn its first region title in school history. His strong play has him on the radar of numerous big schools. He has responded to unofficial invitations and has made visits to schools such as Georgia, Florida State, Florida and Auburn. Missouri, Louisville and Texas A&M have also been in touch with him.

Nate has attributed his success to his coaching staff at Veterans as well Dublin where he played at his freshman season. His Speed Coach Mark Taylor has also helped him develop athletically. Known for his physical play on the line, Nate has been recognized by Friday Night Football as a “Mauler on the Interior”. He has improved thanks in part to his intense competitiveness, ability to learn and his work ethic. Away from the field, Nate also excels. He participates in his church and helps out in the community. He made the Veterans Homecoming Court this year and also has received the Golden Rule Award as a freshman.

Baseball is also a passion for Nate. He plays first base for the varsity team and has been recognized as a potential prospect since the age of 11. The sky seems to be the limit for Nate Lee. As of now he is unsure of which school he will attend but he has plenty of options. Whether he chooses to pursue athletics in either baseball or football, or continue his academic pursuit, Nate seems to have a very bright future ahead of him.
