Player Bio

Do you remember your first varsity start and how was it?
“Nervous, but once I got that first hit I was fine and just played my technique.”

Have you played OL your entire life and what made you want to play OL?
“When I was young I played D-line, but just offensive line once I got older.”

Who is the most influential person in your life?
“Michael Oher. ESPN did a documentary on Central High School in Tuscaloosa and they had a
big lineman like me who was the #1 offensive lineman. I thought if he can do it, I can do it. I just have to keep doing the little things. I’ve come a long way.”

Do you do any work in the community?
“I help with 8th and 9th grade football after practice when I can. I help young OL with their technique.”

What colleges have shown interest in you?
“Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Purdue, Duke”

What do you want to study in school?
“Graphic design or PT [physical therapy].”

Play any sports besides football?
“Played basketball in 8th and 9th grade. It helped with my footwork.”

Outside of playing sports, what would you want to do for a living?
“Be a web designer or a massage therapist.”

What is a fact about you many people that don’t know you, wouldn’t be able to guess?
“I may look mean on the outside but I have a heart on the inside. I’m really a sweet man. Little kids love to come up to me and give me high fives and hugs. I guess that means my mom and dad raised me right.”
