Player Bio

Do you remember your first varsity start and how was it?
“My first varsity game will always be remembered. I began playing my freshman year and my first hit was from a huge linebacker that did not hold back. It was a nice way to welcome me to the team.”

Have you played running back your entire life and what made you want to play running back?
“I have played running back since the beginning of recreational ball. It is a great feeling to know you are getting the ball and running through everyone.”

What is your best asset as a running back?
“My best asset is having power and quickness at the same time. I can go out and run route.”

How many brothers and sisters, what ages and do they play sports?
“I have a large family that consists of five brothers. Their ages are 24, 19, 14, 16 and 12. I also have one sister who is 26 years old.”

Parents name and did they play sports in college?
“My father, Antonio Evans, played basketball and football for Mays High School. My mother, Sherri Evans, was not active in sports. My lifetime coach and mentor, Nate Jabbir, was also a well-known football player. They have all played an active part in getting me to where I am today.”

Do you do any work in the community? (i.e. help coach kids, volunteer, active in church)
“We as a team feel it is important to give back and we do so by reading to the students at the local elementary school. We also assist periodically with coaching for various little league teams.”

What colleges have shown interest in you/offered you?
“I have received offers form Georgia Southern and Nebraska. I have received interest letters from Mississippi State, Purdue, Tennessee State and Jacksonville State.”

What do you want to study in school?
“My plan is to study sports physical therapy.”

What has been your best football memory?
“A good football memory for me was when I ran for 300 yards in one game.”

Gain any accolades? (All-Region, State, etc.)
“I received awards from the North Fulton/Forsyth Association Touchdown Club for offensive player of the year and offensive player of the year in 6A division. I led the classification in yards.”

Know any of your stats?
“My stats were 1,900 yards and 25 touchdowns.”

Did you attend any camps this offseason?
“I attended several college camps during the offseason.”
