Player Bio

Do you remember your first varsity start and how was it?
“Yes. It was last year, and we were playing for the region championship. It was a great experience and one I will never forget. “

Have you played quarterback your entire life and what made you want to play quarterback?
“No.  I started out playing wide receiver but when I was 10 there was nobody that could throw me the ball, so I switched positions and ended up liking it.”

Quarterbacks are supposed to be the leader of the offense. How do you lead? Examples?
“I like to lead by talking to my guys one-on-one. I don’t like to yell at anyone. For example, if a wide receiver runs a route and I don’t like it I will just go talk to him face to face and correct it right there.”

Who is the most influential person in your life?
“My dad. He always pushes me to be a better player and overall person.”

How many brothers and sisters, what ages and do they play sports?
“I have an older sister (26) and she was a cheerleader in high school.”

Parents name and did they play sports in college?
“Gerald and Eugenia Morton. And my dad was a tennis player at Fort Valley State University.”

Do you do any work in the community?
“Yes. Any time I can I go to Kennedy Road Middle School and help my uncle Demarcus Sims coach the kids.”

What colleges have shown interest in you/offered you?
“Purdue has shown interest in me, but I have no offers.”

What do you want to study in school?
“Sports medicine.”

What has been your best football memory?
“Breaking the county passing single game record this year with 421 yards.”

Gain any accolades? (All-Region, State, etc.)?
“Offensive Player of the Week”

Did you attend any camps this offseason?
“Alabama, Presbyterian, South Carolina and Georgia State”

Play any sports besides football?
“I also play basketball and run track.”

Outside of playing sports, what would you want to do for a living?
“I want to be a physical therapist or a sports team’s trainer so that I can stay around sports.”

What is a fact about you many people that don’t know you, wouldn’t be able to guess?
“A lot of people may not know I can actually juggle very well.”
