Player Bio

Will Harper of Sandy Creek is a fast and physical outside linebacker. Standing at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, Harper possesses a 4.56 forty time, great instinct and solid ball skills. He was named All-County as a sophomore after totaling 45 tackles. Georgia Tech and Cincinnati have shown interest in Will while Eastern Michigan and Bowling Green have offered the junior. He has attended camps at Duke, Georgia Tech, Michigan and Michigan State to gain exposure and hone his skills. Will has recorded a sack and an interception this season helping Sandy Creek finish 9-1 in the regular season and allow just 12 points per game.

Will plays shooting guard for the varsity basketball team and has been playing since he was a freshman. He also runs the 400 and long jumps on the track team. Harper likes to help out in the community feeding the homeless on Saturdays and staying involved with the FCCLA. He would like to study business in school. Will’s favorite football memory was when he intercepted his first pass in a varsity game. He would like to thank his family and his trainer Derrick Tatum for helping him get to this level.

He found his way to Georgia after being born in Tennessee. Will told the story of a strong mother who birthed him while she was still in high school. His mother Monica attended the University of Tennessee and is now a math teacher. Will ended up in Georgia after his stepdad accepted a job in Atlanta. It was Will’s middle school coach that told him he had a chance to be a great player and motivated him to stick with football.
